Terms of Use

Who may use this

This portal is for retail accounts of Simchas Hachaim Publishing and for SHP staff. Access is granted per email address. Keep your sign-in codes to yourself; if an address should no longer be able to order for your store, tell us and we will remove it.

What an order here is

Submitting the form is a request to buy, not a completed sale. We confirm stock, pick the order, and ship what we can. Prices, discounts and stock shown are our current figures and may change before an order ships.

What you are billed

You are invoiced for the quantities that actually shipped, at the price shown on your order form at the time you placed it. Anything we could not fill is not billed. No invoice is raised until our warehouse has confirmed what went in the box.

Discounts and account standing

The discount an account receives depends on how current its balance is, on terms agreed with that account. An account far enough behind may be unable to place new orders until it is brought current. SHP may adjust these terms; the portal always shows the account its current standing.

Fair use

Do not attempt to access another store's data, probe the system, or use it in any way other than placing and tracking your own orders. We may suspend access that is misused.

No warranty beyond the books

We stand behind the seforim we sell. The portal itself is provided as-is; if it is down or shows a wrong number, phone or email the office and we will take the order the old way.

Governing terms

These terms sit alongside the trading terms already agreed between SHP and your store. Where they conflict, the agreed trading terms govern.
