This portal is operated by Simchas Hachaim Publishing (SHP) for its wholesale accounts — retail bookstores that buy Rav Avigdor Miller seforim from us. It is not open to the public and is not a consumer storefront.
For each account: the store's name, the email addresses authorised to order, a phone number and shipping address, the orders placed, what shipped, and the balance owed. We hold no passwords — sign-in is a one-time code sent to an address already on file. We never take or store card or bank details; invoices are paid the way they always were.
With the account owner's authorisation, this portal connects to SHP's own QuickBooks Online company. It reads customer names, product names, stock counts and outstanding balances, and it writes estimates and invoices for orders placed here. It reads and writes only SHP's own company file. It does not read or write any other business's QuickBooks data, and it does not share QuickBooks data with anyone outside SHP. The connection can be revoked at any time, from this portal or from within QuickBooks.
We use it to take an order, pick it, ship it, bill it, and to work out which discount an account qualifies for. Nothing else. We do not sell, rent, or share it with anyone, we do not advertise to you, and we run no third-party analytics or tracking on these pages.
A signed-in store sees only its own orders, prices, and balance. SHP office and warehouse staff see what they need to fill and bill orders. Our hosting provider stores the data on our behalf.
Everything travels over HTTPS. Sign-in codes expire after a few minutes and are single-use. Sessions are signed cookies. QuickBooks tokens are stored server-side and never shown in a page.
Order and invoice records are kept as long as our books require. Sign-in codes are discarded once used or expired. Ask us and we will tell you exactly what we hold about your store, correct it, or close the account.
If this policy changes materially we will say so on this page and tell the accounts affected.
